I am so thrilled to be involved in The Big Swing. I have been a huge fan of swing music and dance ever since I can remember and to have the chance to perform on stage in front of such a wonderful orchestra and celebrate all things ‘swing’ is so exciting. I’m also thrilled to be included in such a stellar line up of some of Australia’s best loved performers.

I have been performing live around the country for the past 31 years and outdoor concerts are always a huge thrill. This show is especially close to my heart because The St Ives Showgrounds is my local park and I walk my dogs there every day and it is such a beautiful part of Sydney. I love it.

I have spent the past 18 months performing in the national tour of ‘Grease’ with some of Australia’s brightest young stars. One of those stars is the supremely talented Lucy Maunder who played the role of ‘Rizzo’ in that production. I have invited Lucy to join me on stage in The Big Swing. Lucy earned a string of award nominations for her role in Grease and also for her portrayal of ‘Lara’ opposite Anthony Warlow in the world premiere of the musical ‘Doctor Zhivago’. She has a wonderful voice and I know you will love her.

It is so hard when putting a swing show together because there is so much brilliant material to choose from and half the fun in putting my part of the show together has been listening to all that brilliant music. Now I can’t wait to perform it!
